Any pet owner is familiar with the anxiety preceding a flight. You gaze at your dog or cat, then at your suitcase, and your stomach tightens at the thought of what lies ahead: handing over your best friend to the ground staff, watching them disappear on a conveyor belt, and spending hours in distress wondering if they are alright, if they are cold, or frightened in the dark cargo hold.

Commercial airlines treat pets (unless they weigh less than 8kg) literally as cargo.

At JustFly Executive, we believe there is a superior method—one that is more humane. To us, if it fits in your car seat, it fits in your airplane seat. For this reason, we have designed a dedicated service to ensure your pet feels right at home.

In the Cabin, By Your Side (Always)

The fundamental difference when chartering a private jet is simple: the cargo hold is not an option. Your pet travels with you in the main cabin.

Imagine the experience:

  1. Arrival: You arrive at the executive terminal and your dog walks with you to the foot of the aircraft.

  2. Boarding: You both ascend the stairs together. No mandatory cages, no traumatic separations.

  3. Flight: During the journey, your pet may lie at your feet, sit in the adjacent seat (with a protective blanket), or gaze out the window.

If the animal is anxious, you are there to comfort them. If they are thirsty, we provide water. It is a controlled environment, pressurized just like for humans, and with a pleasant temperature. The stress for the animal is reduced to zero.

Which Animals Can Fly?

While dogs and cats comprise 95% of our furry passengers, private aviation allows you to fly with almost any domestic animal, provided the documentation is in order. We have transported everything from parrots to rabbits.

The only things we need to know in advance are the breed and weight to:

  • Select a "Pet Friendly" aircraft (some aircraft owners are allergic and prefer not to rent their jets to pets, so we filter the fleet to find you the perfect aircraft).

  • Ensure there is sufficient space for their comfort.

Regulations and Documentation: What You Need to Know

While the experience is relaxed, bureaucracy still exists (after all, these are borders). For the flight to be smooth, your pet needs:

  1. EU Pet Passport: In order and up to date.

  2. Microchip: Mandatory.

  3. Rabies Vaccine: Must be current (generally administered at least 21 days prior to travel).

  4. Tape Worm Treatment (Only for certain destinations): Vital if traveling to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, or Malta. Must be administered between 24 and 120 hours prior to landing.

Beware of the United Kingdom: Flying with pets to London or any point in the UK requires compliance with DEFRA regulations and landing at authorized airports. We ensure all of this is verified before takeoff so there are no issues at customs.

Tips for Their First Private Flight

To ensure a top-level experience, here are our expert tips:

  • Harness Better Than a Collar: During takeoff and landing, for safety, we typically ask that the animal is secured with a seatbelt (special adapters exist for harnesses) or inside their carrier if they are very small, only during those critical 10 minutes.

  • Light Meal: Try not to feed them a heavy meal just before flying to avoid motion sickness.

  • Their Blanket and Toy: Bringing their favorite blanket with their scent helps them relax as soon as they board the plane.

  • Inform Us: Is your dog nervy? Do they need constant water? Inform our team. The crew will be delighted to make them feel like the VIP they are.

A Luxury That Is, Above All, Peace of Mind

Many of our clients do not charter private jets for the champagne or the speed. They do so exclusively for their pet. Knowing that your elderly dog will not feel cold, or that your puppy will not suffer from separation trauma, is priceless.

Traveling together is part of the adventure. Do not let anyone in the family stay behind (or in the cargo hold).
